I'm looking for people with ADHD who want to test a real alternative to existing task management apps and help me build something that actually works.
Before I give you the link, let me explain why I built this instead of using what already existed.
Habitica, Todoist, TickTick — and why they weren't enough
Habitica is a good app. The gamification is real, the character system is fun, and for a lot of people it works. But Habitica is designed to gamify any type of task, which means it's not optimised for anything in particular. You have to configure everything yourself, decide on your habits, structure your system. For an ADHD brain, that initial friction is often enough to quit before you've even started.
Todoist and TickTick are powerful tools but they assume you already know what to do and in what order. They organise you. They don't help you start.
What was missing in all of that was an app that understands the problem isn't motivation, it's the friction of starting. And that is built around housework specifically, not tasks in general.
What Dopami does differently
I have ADHD. I suspect my girlfriend does too. And we both wanted to keep our apartment clean without it becoming a source of shame or conflict.
Dopami is built around three simple beliefs.
The first is that every task needs edges. A duration, an energy level, a room. Not "clean the kitchen" but "wipe the counter, 5 minutes, low energy." Your brain can always commit to something defined.
The second is that progress should never go backwards. Dopami's XP system never punishes you for missing a day. You accumulate, level up, unlock trophies. The dopamine loop stays intact even when you're going through a rough week.
The third is that housework is rarely solo. You can invite the people you live with into your household, assign tasks, see what everyone has done. Without the awkward conversations.
Join the beta
The beta is available today on TestFlight.
It's free, it's on iOS, and your feedback will directly influence what I build next.
If you have ADHD, diagnosed or not, and keeping a clean home is a real struggle, I'd love to have you among the first testers.
